After months of thorough preparation more than 2,000 volunteers, including 48 volunteers from Kilkenny, are preparing to leave this Friday to work in the township of Khayelitsha in Cape Town, South Africa.

Host and compere on the night will be funny man Conal Gallen and he will get things heating up in the room.

Twenty one Galway volunteers were part of a 500 person group which took part in a major building blitz in South Africa on behalf of the Niall Mellon Township Trust recently.
